Hannah Dunford is the founder of Yoga Mountain, established in 2019 and based in Wicklow, Ireland. With many years of teaching experience, she brings her passion for yoga to weekly adult group classes, Kids Yoga, Teen Yoga, and Private Sessions – the latter which are tailored to an individual’s needs. Her teaching approach integrates Pranayama (breathwork), Hatha Flow, Mindfulness, and Meditation, creating a nurturing and balanced experience for all levels.
Beyond the yoga mat, Hannah has a deep-rooted love of music and poetry. She uses her background in choral singing to incorporate an additional layer of emotional and creative expression through brief gentle mantra chanting during yoga practice, thus enabling students to connect with sound and vibration on a deeper level.
Hannah also brings a strong holistic approach to her teaching. She is a qualified Nutrition Specialist and holds diplomas in Reflexology, Swedish Massage, Psychology, Anatomy & Physiology, Sports & Fitness. She incorporates therapeutic techniques into her sessions such as temple massage with essential oils, neck, leg and shoulder release in order to deepen relaxation, particularly in Savasana.
Before dedicating herself fully to yoga, Hannah spent over a decade working in the Irish music industry as a Record Label manager, tour coordinator, and tour manager. Her extensive background working with children gives her a unique insight into teaching yoga to children and teens. Recognised by the Complementary Therapists Association (CTHA) and Yoga Therapy Ireland (YTI), Hannah is committed to helping others find balance, strength, and well-being through yoga.
Her private yoga sessions offer students the opportunity to practice in a supportive, one-on-one setting, with tailored sequences, breathwork, and lifestyle advice. These tailored sessions are especially beneficial for individuals with health conditions or those recovering from injuries, featuring calming breathwork, motivational techniques and nutritional advice.
Hannah also leads engaging workshops and special sessions that integrate yoga history, philosophy and breathing exercises. These workshops are thoughtfully curated and offer immersive experiences that unite gentle yoga movement and deep relaxation with participants’ inner wisdom and intuition, all while celebrating such events as Imbolc, International Yoga Day, Winter Solstice.
Hannah’s goal remains constant and clear – to help each student feel confident and empowered on their yoga journey towards a healthier, well-balanced lifestyle. Her warm, holistic guided practice makes yoga approachable for beginners, seasoned practitioners and those with health conditions and is a testament to her lifelong commitment to the transformative power of yoga.
At the heart of Hannah’s work is a genuine desire to nurture holistic health, drawing on her love of nature, deep knowledge of insects and plants, and a lifelong devotion to animals. When she’s not on the mat, Hannah cherishes time with her wonderful son and her beloved dog, embodying the balanced, joyful lifestyle she inspires in others.

“I treated myself to an at home yoga and relaxation session to help my recovery from a serious illness. Hannah was very helpful and understanding. I enjoyed the session very much and her encouragement has helped me get back into practice again. I highly recommend Hannah.”

“I did some private classes with a friend of mine and I found Hannah’s classes were lovely and varied, guiding us through many Yoga poses I had never done before. Her Yoga knowledge is excellent which results in a really great class. The relaxation part at the end left me feeling rejuvenated for the days that lay ahead. Thanks Hannah!”

In these workshops, I teach a combination of yoga history & philosophy, breathing exercises to combat anxiety, a full sequence of yoga poses including twists, folds, challenging balances, backbends and inversions…and finish with an extended relaxation. With Anxiety and depression so prevalent in our modern world, I believe that yoga is the key to giving teens the tools necessary to cope well in life and into adulthood.
“We all got yoga mats and the instructor Hannah taught us about the different branches on the tree of life, what they represent and what they mean. We began with stretching and eased into some simple poses to stretch out our arms, legs and bodies. She was very patient the whole time. We did twists, turns, flips, bending and stretches. She taught us some breathing exercises to help with calming down, anxiety, etc.., but my favourite part came when we all got fluffy blankets and relaxed. We then got a pretty tree necklace beads, got to pick our tarot cards and she taught me how to do a headstand. 10/10 recommend! Felt great afterwards!”
